The Three Sister's of Norn

Same odds as Vegas, right?

Driving the road of life makes for some very strange days for sure. Take how something as simple as a picture from a camera phone, can change everything in a blink. Remember the Iran revolution that ended with the live Tv broadcast of a young woman being shot by the Morality Police?

Knowing that anything can happen and usually does, I am fully aware of the consequences to what can happen when things get a little pattern to them. So I did a little research just to see if it was me or was there some kind of outside influence working on the magnetic fields and here is what I came up with, The Three Sister’s of Norn.

Just who are the sisters of Norn, and how do they play into life as we know it? Well my experience has led me to them in a roundabout way. They are the fate’s! The ladys of life who have a say in what we do or will of our own choosing. The three sisters of Norn can and will never let it play out to soon. Otherwise things would get way out of kilter without someone or something keeping track of all the mundane life wandering around. It’s like they just have to keep the dice in motion.

You know what I’m saying here, in lay mans terms it’s the exercise of freewill and how it interacts with the ALL of life. Where we as players on the side of life everlasting have the choice to make our lives either easy or hard on a whim of chance. Given a hand in your own life and how it works was G-d’s idea in the first place. Beings made of light are incapable of emotion therefore it takes a material body to interpret all that raw emotion we give off every minute of everyday.

Now destiny is a whole different ball of wax here. The Sister’s have a great influence in how that goes too. Where, how, why, these are the things we have no control over, either to accept or not is the game here. You see understanding is the key to acceptance of self above all else in life. When we accept life on it’s terms then we are giving in to the fates, we deserve what we get, no more no less. This is where all that stuff that you forgot about comes into play; remember keying billy’s car because he dumped you, breaking grandma’s window with the baseball and hiding the fact that you did it.

If we choose to live a higher life, one that involves giving in to ourselves(ego) and doing those things that require investing in life, then we get what we deserve. Here it’s a different aspect of life I’m talking about, this part involves standing up for the things you believe in whether it ‘s good or bad. Taking a stand on the issues that govern life in your world, money, stuff, passion, things that shape what it is you think about or want to see change, had a hand in doing, or have done in the past .

All that stuff that you keep locked up in the closet of your mind this is what I’m really talking about here.
Trying to make up for them in some way, shape, or fashion to try to make yourself feel better because if you do G-d will forgive you your sins.

What is this? Some kind of game show rules? You can’t make up for what you have done either good or bad in the past! Why? because it has already been done and even if you had enough money to build the time machine and go back to fix it you still can’t change anything. Why you ask? (Now here is where it gets real sticky) If you change the past, then you change the future. Remember Michale J. Foxx in Back to the Future? It would cause a riff in the time/space continum and that would cause your existence to either non exist or to alter your life so much that it wouldn’t matter anymore anyway. Doc Brown proved it when he went to the future and helped himself so that he would not die the night he sent the Deloran back in time the first place, remember the Terrorists in the hippie van.

Making any sense yet? Well look at it this way, you can’t change anything you do, but you can change what it is that you do, how you act, and most of all why you do things in the first place.

Carl Marx said “A man is no more that what he does.”

I have done some stupid things in my life, does it make me who I am? Does it define my destiny? Or do I define who and what I am by the things I do with the life I have left? I chose to change the way I was going a long time ago and have stayed on that path ever since. Now I am not proud of some of the things I have done, but at the same time I am not afraid of the man I have become because of them either! It takes a lot of effort to become the person you want to be without all the human drama involved to begin with. Compare that with how easy it is to be a really evil person with a million friends and associates to help you achieve your wildest dreams. Sound crazy? Well lets ask a simple question here, which person is crazy? The one who hears the voices, or The one who does what they say? See what I mean, not always clear on what is going on are we?

So where do the Sisters come into this picture? That my intrepid friend marks the shape and scope of your destiny.
You see in my estimation there are three kinds of people:
The ones who seek their destiny
The ones who have destiny thrust on them
The ones who are DESTINED to be

These are the rules the Sister’s play by right here. They get to play in the game of life just like you do. Every time you make a change in the destiny of your life(move up or down the list) they have a turn too! Making things harder or taking obstacle's out of your path so that you either fail or succeed by your own merits. How it all plays out is decided by the way you choose to play in the first place. Now here is a very important rule of the game that has a direct bearing on the way you play. Even if you choose not to choose a choice is being made! Yea, catch 22 right? How does this work? Who made this rule? Why does it apply? Well that my friend is the question of the ages with no answer in sight.

Some of the greatest thinkers of mankind have wrestled with this very thing here and do we have a concrete answer yet? Voltaire, Sir Francis Bacon, Comte de St. Germaine, Manly P. Hall, Albert Pike, Aliester Crowley, Eliphas Levi, Kant, Locke, Sir Thomas Aquinas, King Soloman. I can list a couple hundred more but you get the picture. It all comes down to what it is you do with what your parents gave you when you were growing up. No I do not think genes make anything but humans, animals, and plants. We make ourselves from our life experiences whether good or bad. It’s these experiences that dictate the path of our destiny, not what that destiny is.

So the next time you get to wondering if life has thrown you a high slider, ask yourself one question, Who’s turn is it with the dice?

It is my belief that who we are right now, right here, defines us. The past is often just rumors and old perceptions. Here, in this moment, defines you.

So you believe the stillness of your mind is truly who you are then? There are some truly great men from the distant past that taught the very thing you define, Paramendes,Plato,The Rebbe, Many books and teachings use the very same intent in their volumes, the Zohar, Rumi, the Sufi's and lots of others through out mans very long and sorted past. Thank you Phoebe Pike for spending the time to look into the eyes of the past and see what is.

Anything in the past is only a memory, a flash... a thought. Though you still would have to accountable for crimes, but only this moment truly tells us who you are because it is the only picture we have. The rest fades away because it is no longer real to us because we cannot see it, touch it... etc.

If nothing really matters and everything that has happened is only a flash of a memory, then why are we still accountable for something that is just a picture of nothing? When you see yourself as part of the vastness of the universe, ALL is you and you are ALL! Memory only serves to recall what you have done in this plane of matter. Actions speak louder than words the old saying goes, but what have you done lately? Thank you Phoebe Pike for your insight into the journey that is life.

We are accountable because we lived in that moment. For even the brief instant, we lived it and committed the crime or deed. So it is still reality, just not the current one.

This explains the alternate universe theory, right? If you have done anything it counts here in this moment that will pass into the next moment, that has come from the past moment, and so on till time itself becomes accountable. We are accountable only to ourselves because G-d gave us the choice to choose. The Three Sister's are part of the checks and balances of life so that you or I don't get to far off the track. Otherwise everything is not real, then Anarchy rules.

Eckhart Tolle said this, "Time is seen as the endless succession of moments, some "good", some "bad". Yet, if you look more closely through your own immediate experience, you find that there are not many moments at all. You discover that there is only ever this moment. Life is always now. That is saying to me that I can think about the past, benefit from the experiences I received but at the moment....I can decide to do differently or not; decide to make things better or not; decide to make things worst or not; because this moment is a fresh start.

bri, I love the way your thoughts unfold and the way you made me think through waht you were saying. Thank you for sharing this piece. Voted awesome.

Eckhart Tolle is one of my hero's I have read most of his books and think he is right about lots of things we overlook in everyday life because we are blind to the stillness of our true self. I'm just saying...thank you Dee for your very kind words. bri")
